the thing is if i go big ill probably get lost and wont find my way home.... would need some one to help. no one i know around here that could
For a daily the 32/36 is probably your best bet, the 38 makes a bit more top end power but is not as fuel effecient or user friendly for street use. The duals need a little engine upgrading to be most effecient, and depending on how picky you are require some tinkering to be more street happy. Any carb swap is gonna need some tweaking to get the most out of it, I see a lot of bolt on out of the box with no regards to jetting or dialing it in and the carb is always to blame for the problems.
I would agree with Nook. Mind you the only time i have played with carbs was on my buddies 71 Datsun 510. But it did have sidedraft Webers! So my knowledge in this department is slim..... So i would listen to these guys for sure. They deffinitaly know what they are talking about!!
Unless you qualify yourself as a pro, Im told start simple with the 32/36, go bold with a 38 then graduate to duals. If you plan on a daily driver - If I were you, Ide keep it as simple as possible to start, I did the exact same thing and dont regret it at all . . .
You've got to stay carbed. It is so much more efficient and flows much better. Dual side drafts all the way. I've heard great things about Weber and Holley carbs. Thats about all I know.
like i said earlier, carbs are just as powerful but no where near as efficiant as EFI can be with as much money dumped into it. in english it means same power less gas. besides the archaic art you need to learn that is banned by the state.
Megasquirt can be a lot of trouble if you don't have some help from somebody who knows what they are doing. Its a real nifty system, but it takes some knowledge to really get the most out of it.
