( This was MOT on my Toyota, so the drain plug isn't the same. It's posted for informational intent and commentary. )

The drain plug on a plastic radiator had a plastic "screw" Phillips insert rather than an an exterior drain spout, and the plastic was chewed away, and I couldn't get the plastic insert to turn. I tried to tap it out, but that only increased the the damage by eating away even more of the plastic inset. So this is how I did it...

First, I found a bolt with a shank with a diameter that fit snugly into the plastic insert's hole.( Pic1 )

Next I coated the bolt with gorilla glue and gently screwed the bolt into the plastic insert. ( Pic 2 )

I let it dry in place for 24 hours, and with it glued tight, the plastic inset was removed. ( Pic 3 )
The replacement plug is shown for comparison.

Project done for a "Yea Me" moment.

    Other alternatives?
