90-95 4runners have good rear lower bars and previa mini vans do too. That's my 4 link bars lol. Nice beefy end pivots.

What's your thought on a 3 link with upper wish bone? I've been thinking about going that route for awhile because it actually saves a ton of space due to no pan hard needed. I'm only going to have about 6-10in of travel so I don't think articulation binding will be an issue

Should work great. It's my 78s plan eventually. Single pivot at frame would fit better too. Rear mounted coilover or bag or coil and shock. Also clears gas tank. Hardest part is making sure to still support the back of the tank solidly. My idea was to get round tubing the same diameter of the OEM shock crossmember; then cut it off 6" inboard the driver frame and a few inches for the inner back corner of the gas tank. Then move that middle part to the front-rear driver bed mount stand. Plate it from the inside, and connect a new piece of round tube from that edge diagonally to the tank corner. Then also connect a support from about 8-10" inboard that new bars driver frame edge, and angle a tube back to the driver side OEM crossmember stump. It would form a strange looking a curve with a brace leg. Then the wishbone can mount about 12-15" from the driver side frame, which is just offset of the driveline to the driver side. The wishbone should clear the driveline if set at the proper height on the frame tabs.

If that all makes sense I don't have to draw a picture

This is very popular in the Chevy C10 forums I frequent and I love the idea and plan to implement this in the future.

Load up the welder and head down here to Vegas, I got a cold garage floor and some McDonalds coupons!

    I'll supply the beer!

Since I am having small leaks around the drivetrain, I decided to do a re-seal on tranny and axle, also redoing rear wheel bearings, all parts I acquire at local auto parts store and are oem parts

I am going to run redline mt90 as they are gl4 oil required for toyota transmissions, the diff will have redline gl5 type, these oil has a lot of good reviews based on the toyota community so that is why I'm giving them a go at 12$ a quart.

For my 71, seals and bearing on axle is same on 69-95 toyota pickups, w50 trans seal is same on all w5x

Goodbye 1" front bar, hello 1-1/4" bar

Finally went to the yard and got a 2wd jimmy/blazer bar, humongous compared to stock and 1", the new bar gives close to none body roll, soft spring heavy bar seems to give me the feel I was looking for without suffering harsh ride.

Willyumz, can you find a paint code on your truck? Mine was repainted and what's underneath looks like your color. I have a color chart for 1970-1972 Toyotas and can look it up with the number. According to the chart, it should be a 3 or 4 digit "T" number on the left side of the firewall. Thanks!

I believe it's T1653, Continental Beige. I have an original paint identification sheet with color chips if anyone is interested in what color there truck is/was.

At one time mine looked to be a strange tan. Maybe not originally though
