Can anyone help me out. I want to replace my cluster "ugly green" lights to some nice clear white LED lights, but having trouble with what type of bulb it requires. Does anyone know what type the bulb is? Thanks again :)

im assuming all the info/warning lights u didnt change --ie --- the "BRAKE" , "MIL", the "blue HIGH-beam ON" stuff like that. just the normal lighting of the cluster itself correct? how many bulbs are needed?

Yea I just changed the speedo and coolant fuel lights and temp light there are 3 maybe 4 the bulbs are relatively cheap so I got a handful of different colors for my tag lights the 194 in the tai lights and so on its a large improvement over stock for just a few bucks

cool thanks for the info. i think ima just buy a bundle of them off of ebay. as far as the bulb type n actual height, is there anything i have to avoid or take in to consideration? i was also looking at the tail light ones, i was looking at some bulbs that were "19-led" pod style, hope they will fit into tail light housing.

They just pop in on the gauge cluster 194 is the bulb size don't think you'll run into height or depth problem I recommend getting them from
Superbrightled.com they have huge selection and many different light output variations

As far as the taillight bulb being a led I tried that and wasn't satisfied with the brake light output it wasn't very bright and seems to have no transition of brightness from taillight to brake light wich may result in being re ended . They don't compare to the led tai lights for newer cars at all just a though

yes i know the size is 194. n ill try that website when the time comes. was looking for something pretty bright, like a "flood" beam pattern. ill do a bit more research. thanks.

for now, the cluster can wait. need to get new front grill, bumper, valence, hardware, etc. nothing fancy, just stock, prob gonna just rattle can it semi gloss or satin black.

I really like the look of truck bed liner on grills and cattle guards, bumpers. Actually when my paint job chips off I'm coating the entire truck in black UV resistant Durabak. I want to rip all carpet out and coat entire cab in it too. I'm doing that for rockin no doors all spring/summer. Just a thought for you!

    Durabak Website

    Cheers!
