i recently pulled out the seats and shag from my 83 and am about to embark on a mission to make a custom center console that will run front to back, and include the oil and volt meters in front, and a 10" sub at the rear wall. just wondering if anyone has done this yet. Once i get busy on it ill do my best to draw up plans and add some pics. the OG piece is kinda dirty and the shifters leather apron/skirt is torn to **** due to some skwerels makin a love nest out of my cab whilst it was waiting for me to get my driving privelages back. I've never attempted anything like this, but im pretty good with the wood if you know what i mean. Any suggestions, links, or constructive criticism is welcome. thanks
I dont have any thougnts at his point, but I am headed in the same direction myself. i would love to see you ideas and pics. I was thinking something similar to your plans as well I just finished with a bench to bucket seat swap and now am focusing on the stereo and center console. what kinda stereo you running or planning on using
that is bad ass close to what i want, xcept i would like to have some utility as well, ie a storage compartment
Used long strand kitty hair & than reg. body filler over fiber board that I screwed to the sock console than ground the screw heads off!Use a cut down bucket to get the large radius needed! And area for drinks is in the cooler that rides out back, only storage needed!!
oh ok so the stock console is in there somewhere? lol and whats long strand kitty hair... is it what i think it is?!?!? (im picturing a bald cat runnin around somewhere in your neighborhood... LMAO!!!)
Body filler made by EverCoat. Long strand & ,short strand for better strength & better build up. Light weight filler to finish off. Get @ auto body paint supply. Good products!
