I have a chance to get a 82 Celica parts car, blown engine, 5 speed. What all can be used on my 79 truck? I know the trans. Anything else?

That is a good idea. What about the rear end, can I use that if it is a better rear end than my truck?

what type of celica is it?

    solid axl or IRS ?

if its a IRS its possible that it has a 7.5 in diff in it maybe even a supra LSD that sombody swapped in, but most likely its got a 6.7 in there.

pretty much everything from the eng bay can work on your truck, including the brake master and maybe booster

the 82 was the first year 3rd gen celica so if its got flares DO NOT PART IT OUT. the 82 celica with flares has a solid rear axl and is stupid rare and desirable. you'll get decent money for it whole over at www.celica-gts.com.

if it doesnt have flares, id take what you want off it then post up over there to part it out or sell it whole, parts are getting harder to find.
