Carrying on to my next issue. Since my '90 Toy Hilux 2WD has been parked awhile not only did my battery almost lose its life but now I realized my brakes are locked? Hmmmmm........... I need to figure this out but need your help and ideas to fix and prevent this the next time I'm away from home. I tried searching a thread on this but no luck.

Always undo the negative cable on the battery on a vehicle that will be sitting more than driving. This will keep it from draining out so quickly. And it sounds like your ebrake was on? It's common for rear brake shoes to get stuck to the drum if the ebrake is left on and the vehicle parked for a while. Or possibly the cable is stuck and not the shoes.
