hey guys, i really want to run some big front brakes, my aim would be to use wilwood calipers and rotors, does anyone here know of someone that could help me out?

i pretty much need part numbers and maybe someone who has an adapter that will work or a CAD drawing of an adapter that i can get laser cut here

    thanks

This mod is posted on here, use the search. I recently got the brackets to use the Toyota 4x4 calipers,& have the hats & rotors sitting on shelf ,also got a 1" master cylinder, hope to start putting together in the next week or two.
The Wilwood rotors # is 160-7106/#160-7105;Wilwood hats #170-1827;if you use the wilwood calipers( I plan too which once the person on this site gets brackets made to use them) ,#120-6815/#120-6816
He still had some of the brackets for the Toyota calipers, got my calipers off-bay,around $140 shipped. Found the best prices on the rotors & hats @ carshopinc.com
Will also needed 2 bolt kits,#230-0150
Hope this is of some help:cool:

This guy makes a complete front brake kit for toyotas. It is similar to the willwood setup. www. phattys. ca Is the link to his website.

It's a nice set up, expensive, & read somewhere he wasn't making them any more. Revolation brake has a Wilwood front kit & can make a rear, again a lot of money.
Just started the front upgrade,& running into a problem with the bracket holes??

The bracket holes for the caliper are too close to the spindle, need to grind into the caliper about 1/4" @ both ends !
Any body else run into this problem??

Yes, sorry for the inconvenience, but this was always the case from up front. The caliper has to be modified slightly.

Yes, you shouldn't have to take much off, and you can remove material from the spindle too if you don't want to take all the material off of the caliper.

I had to grind for the revolution kit too, instructions are clear showing where exactly to grind. I am putting in drop spindles at the same time as the brakes and so it was not a big deal . I don't have the kit on yet but I promise a thread with pics when they go on.

I know for a fact if you email, or call Philip at revolution you can get a kit with 1 piece rotors for significantly less then the price listed on their website for a kit with 2 piece rotors. the kit uses wilwood superlite 4 piston calipers and 13 inch rotors.

Philip told me he has a 89 yota pickup shop truck with his big brakes and a 3rz that he plans on swapping into it, I sleep better at night knowing I gave my hard earned cash to someone that actually knows brakes, and drives the same truck as me

Yeah thought of that after grinding the first side. There is 30mm from the outer edge to the hole, removed 5mm!
    Side one is finished:cool:
