Hey guys i have some belltech drop leafs, but i dont thing they are for my year (89-94) truck. But when i looked them up it said they go from like 84-95 should fit. But i think they are wrong. So anyone on here have a pair of drop leafs on there 89-94 truck that can measure eye hole to eye hole for me? Also would like the measurement of the 84-88 ones to if anyone has them on there truck. Thanks guys.
hell yea! not to mean that i hope they dont fit or anything ahahahha there the 3" leafs? how low is ur truck man?
Not low any more cause my 3in blocks broke and my u bolt broke. So its going back up till i can get it fixed.
They should work. My Belltech drop spindles are for 84-95 trucks. This says they're for 84-95 trucks... http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts/lowering_leaf_springs_by_belltech/1104000114_3346.aspx
Ok the problem i am having is the nipple on top doesnt match up with the ones on my axle. I can get one side to line up but then the other side is way off and the axle is turned sideways.. Im thinking i got a earlier years set (79-83).
I don't think they make 'em for trucks older than 84. Wonder if they sent you ones for another truck altogether.
Do both leafs look identical wen set next to each other? Might be two different ones. Or like David said maybe their just for a different model
So do I understand this correctly, its $150 per side Rear - Leaf Spring - 3" by Belltech 5978BLT This is ONE Leaf Spring - Please Purchase 2 Springs For a Kit Anticipated Ship Out Time: 2-3 business days Bushing Material: Rubber Includes: Bushing(s) Location: Rear Suspension
Not sure either, But i got them from Toy_Spd on here. Do you think you can get me a pick of your on your truck? They dont look like different ones. But who knows. Well i would love to sell them to you but there is someone in line first bro. Sorry, but if he does get them then ill let you know. Dont think they where backwords cause i tried every witch way i could possibley try. Just dont work so far.
When I got my set of drop springs, I had to switch the pins with the stockers to get them to fit. Don't know why, just did. Also, It sounds like you might have one reversed front to back. Is that at all possible? It would be hard to do though, it's kind of obvious. How far off were the pins in the truck?
Ill try switching the pins to. Cant hurt. Its kinda hard to have them reversed because the eye holes only line up with the bolts one way. The bolt closest to the cab is not as round as the bolt at the back of the tailgate area. Only way it could be wrong is if the bushings got put in wrong. Do you have a pic of yours on your truck? The front and the back of the spring?
