well i am going to be making a set for my GFs truck soon. likely to fit 6.5" speakers, maybe 5.25". would there be interest in these? i can't stand the 3" speakers in the dash. and i am surely not cutting up the door to install speakers.

these would be made out of a mold with high quality Marine resin, gelcoat and heavy mat. i would likely ask something like $120 a pair. i could also make them for newer/older trucks but i would need a local one to make the original. i could of course make a mold of someone elses' pods and give a royalty to them for each set i sell out of the molds.

let me know if you would be interested in a set of these!

Cool! And thanks for the replies. I'm gonna try to get started on them this weekend. I am beyond tired of the crappy stock stereo and speakers in the truck.

My door are already cut from the PO and the speaker magnets fight for real estate with the window. Do I'm interested in pods too depending how they come out.

i need more speakers to keep up with my subwoofer output o_O im using both the stock dash speaker locations and the kickpanels with 6.5" speakers. theres really not much room as its a single cab with the subbox behind the seat. where would these pods go or fit? would u be able to mold some that would fit say over your head up in the top back cab coroners?

If your still doing these, I may be interested also. Pending they would also fit in an 85.

Esuever I'm looking into have to make fiberglass headliner with speakers. I got it all figured expect for how to mount the speakers. But my plan is to have two tweeters in the front and two 5.5s or something like that in the back will post pics once I get started
