anyone have a big(er) brake setup for the 75-78 models? Something with vented rotors that will fit on the stock spindle?

Im open to clusterfuck solutions, mixing and matching parts. Cant afford the blingy wilwood parts lol

Do you need stronger brakes, or are you going for a look?

I would like to have better brakes, my truck is a 72 second gen so it still has drums. I have the parts from a 75-78 (spindles, calipers, and some old rotors) just wanting to see if anyone has used a bigger rotor and maybe a 4Runner caliper or something along those lines.

Hell i was on rock auto the other day and say what looked like 4 piston calipers for a 79-83 4x4 maybe those would work?

for the weight of the vehicle, you'll probably never be on the brakes enough to warrant vented/slotted rotors. They do look great, though. Outside of that, I'm hoping someone else chimes in. All i've done for more stopping power is jump up in booster/cylinder size.

2wd or 4wd booster? I threw a 1-ton booster on a half ton truck. Not, if I'm honest, the smartest thing I've ever done, but if you need to stop RIGHT NOW, it will do it. Even if you didn't mean to. Make sure you get your adjustments spot on, or you're going to have 2 inches of dead pedal and then your face hits the steering wheel
