Looks real good! I'm surprized you're able to tuck that much tire, width anyways. Thats gotta be a record on a Yota.

with a properly done bag setup it will ride much nicer than stock. An a bag on bar like he has will help that

Yeah, the cantilever setup uses the leverage with the bag, which requires less air for the same lift allowing it to ride softer....

You can buy just the upper tubular control arms from http://dallashotrodparts.com or you can notch your factory uppers. There was an article awhile back in Mini-Truckin on how it was done. I also believe there is a thread topic on www.streetsourcemag.com as well too.

Yes, if the + moves the wheel in from centerline.

So, I finally downloaded a couple pics from my phone. The first two from the exhaust shop, and the others from a lunchtime drive at work.

These are pics of the SMARF, one of the assembly buildings of the retired Titan rocket series, and the memorial for the Gemini and Mercury missions.

So the exhaust... I have always thought that the less restriction, the more power, well, I had a friend do my new system and told him to make it as quiet as possible. Lo and Behold! Much more torque. I still have to use dynoliscious on my Ipod touch, but it feels quite substantial.
I ran a best before the new system of 68HP to the wheels. Wow!

    We'll see.

I'm torn over whether to narrow the rearend any or not. I can't drive super low, any less than 2" or so off the ground and the tires rub. I heated the paint up enough to bubble on the drivers side recently. I have to get some areas touched up anyway, so it wasn't too big a deal...
Narrowing the axle is a big deal though. I wonder if there are any other ways. I don't need much, maybe 1/8 to a 1/4 on each side.

I would check into the cost of that compared to getting not so wide of rim and tire. Not sure of any other way other than rolling the fender out a little.

You can go with an axle out of a later model truck...a older the year model the shorter the axle is. I got these measurements from Seth's site.

    Toyota axle lenghts...

    73-78 ~ 53"
    79-83 ~ 55"
    84-88 ~ 57"
    89-95 ~ 58.5"
    95-04 ~ 60"

If ou only need a little the 84-88 would be perfect according to those measurements an wouldn't be to noticable

    Any updates?

Truck is looking real good, If you only need that much clearance I would definitely go with a 84-88 rear axle.

i would shorten it....reason..because you can prolly keep your tabs you have for your links and you dont have to worry about buying BUNK rear ends that are torn.

but if you buy a older year rear end then you will only have to pay for new tabs and more welding gas and more time to weld it up and stuff. but if you plan on getting different rims down the line i would grab a different rear end period. good luck bro
