I recently dropped my 1993 extracab a little more. I have had the truck for 2 years, I got it as a old rusty pickup and basically replaced almost all of the body panels, me and my dad did the body work and painted it. To start we just dropped it by cranking the torsions and 2 inch blocks in back. Now I have replaced all four shocks with belltech street performance shocks. I kept the torsions cranked and installed belltech's drop spindles also, and have decided to do a 4 inch block in the rear for now. During this process i replaced all chassis components and the gas lines, and all brakes. I was about to take it out for a spin for the first time this low, and then the fuel pump went out.Now i need to replace that. I am interested to see how it rides with this setup. I may end up raising the front a bit if it rubs and depending how it rides. Here's my toy. Let me know what you think!
Looks pretty good man. You should cut those bump stops. Just two either 10mm or 12mm nuts and they come off. Then take a hack saw and resize them. It rides just a little better...
Truck looks great, good job! Check these out for another bump stop option: Energy Suspension 9.9102 Universal Bump Stops - 99102
Looks good,& you will like it slammed! I recommend you use dropped springs over a mono leaf set up! And you'll will find that you will need a notch @ the rear because of hitting! If you go with a notch ,do a 8 piece, just a c-cut, as you will @ some time go to bags!!
Is this a ride thread? If so, it needs to be SHUT DOWN and moved the correct section. Can we PLEASE get a MOD on this?
