Can anyone tell me if they are bolted on or do they spot weld or maybe even both? I need to change one on a friends trucks and any help would be great. Also pics work real good.

its kinda a 3 piece setup spot welded together..

1 the horizontal bar across the top aka core support
2 the front plate that the radiator actually mounts to
3 the inner fenders that tie everything together

you can go steal the core support out of a: 79 and under celica, corona, hilux, ect. (they just come out with a few bolts) and just chop out the piece i called "1" then bolt in the new support. some times the hood latch location can be tricky so make sure you measure once and cut twice.

you can also cut out #1 then re-weld it in with a patch welded over the cuts

ive also seen some early 80's yotas that were bolted together THEN spot welded
