hi, i currently have an RN41 83 hilux, I am upgrading the front suspension to 88-89 to accommodate for my drop spindles, then i am doing a rear disk conversion which i already have 80% of the parts, an was wanting to do a bigger disk conversion on the front to match up to the back, i have 17" wheels, so not short on space. Every thread i have read has referred to R33 Gtr calipers or similar, it seems that these must be a common conversion because every set i can find is over $1000. I was wondering if there was a cheaper option now available? maybe newer hilux twin piston brakes? every thread i have read on brake upgrades has been like 8 years old, so maybe it is time for an updated version, These are the brakes i am looking at, if anyone has any info and measurements on them? My caliper bolt hole spacing is 100mm (keep in mind that my drop spindles are to suit 88 - 92) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-Front-...233354?hash=item5d6178504a:g:kdYAAOSwFMZWtes5
2nd gen 4runner calipers are 4 piston and use a larger rotor. Theres a few write ups on this forum. Just search it
