    image.jpeg image.jpeg Hello everyone,
My name is Nick and I am new here to the forums. I just picked this up for $300 and figured it's a perfect candidate for a build thread! Please let me know what you think of it. image.jpeg

Thanks guys! I am not getting rid of it as this is a factory aftermarket step side. I plan to lower it, maybe a motor/tranny swap, and flat black for the paint.

I have already test fitted some wheels haha. I need a lip on the front fenders and a minor tire stretch to run these properly.

I agree! Partly why I want to use them haha. What are some good part resources besides junk yards?

Man thats a steal for $300. I actually like the stepside on this model. Those rims arent my cup of tea, but they will probly look better once truck is black. Keep up the work!

I think i might just get some nice Diamond steelies or something similar. Here is some pics after I gutted the interior, luckily very little rust! I chipped away all the old sound deadening and plan to replace with new sound deadening after rust repair and paint.

Floors don't look too bad! Bummer someone decided to install a speaker in the bottom sill of the door instead of somewhere else.

Those wheels above are pretty crazy, I kinda like them, but not necessarily for a truck like this. Maybe save them for an 80s pickup with a v8 swap and matte black paint job.

Yeah, I would like to cover up the speaker hole and make some kick panel boxes but, I haven't decided yet. I plan on pulling the bed today to pull my gas tank. I don't want to put gas in it yet to try and start it if the tank is full of crap. I will post pictures of the progress tomorrow if possible! Thank you guys for following the build!

I was thinking something equivalent to Dynamat and yes, I am going to sand the the entire inside of the cab and check for rust before I re-paint it. Any recommendations on sound deadening?
