It would depend on the width of the rotor face from O.D. to I.D.

    It should work though...

And I believe that the brake setup is the same or similar between these generations.

I read that the rotors you guy used was .80" thick. Was there their any extra room? Did you use any shims behind the pads? The rotors I'm looking at are just over an inch thick, was curious about fitment in the 4runner caliper.

There was a tiny bit of extra room, but I'm not sure how much. You could go to a parts store with a set of calipers and measure the stock rotor thickness.

I'm currently working on a set of stands to adapt the wilwood dynalite calipers.

Been working on it a bit myself...

best I can tell the 1.25 thick rotor will come within 3mm of it's needed location using no offset on the adapter...

the spindle bolt circle is 80mm and the bolt pattern on a dynalite is 133.34mm
mounted at 122.93mm for a regular dynalite on a 12.19 rotor

the mount offset for the 1.25 rotor is 30.48mm best I could tell the current setup mount offset is within 3mm of this...

that is what I have so far...

If you want to work on it I'll send you the file Dave, just download the emachine software for free...

I just need to finsih the body of it and reset the outer holes to the right tap for the wilwood bolt... can't seem to find out what size bolt is used to mount the wilwood caliper, I was going to use a metric equivalent

I definitely wouldn't mind. You saved me some work this time....

The only difference this time is that I'm still using the 0.800 thickness rotors, but all the other dimensions are the same, I'll just have an offset bracket.

actually I bet you could make them fit both...
just make the top part thicker like 3mm on one side for 1.25 rotors and on the other side about 15mm for .81 rotors

email me I'll send you the file... actually I may still have your email I'll check now
    if you don't get it
then email me and I'll send it

the two circles in the design are set there for refence of the original spindles bolt hole circle and then the distance a dynalite needs to be for a 12.19 rotor diameter

they need to be removed to finish the design as the software sees them as an actual design part

i just sent it... let me know you got it...

    Nice setup
I like the hat/slug mounted behind the hub like the stock rotor
Sturdy design but a biatch to change rotors...
    What spindles are those?
They are much nicer machining than a stick spindle
That may effect your designs use on stock or other drop spindles
    Are they belltech?

I have a new batch of the 4wd conversion ones
And I am almost finished with a set using all wilwood with dynalite calipers and the 1.25 thick rotor
It keeps the hat design outside the hub which makes rotor replacement a breeze!

No different changing rotors than stock...ya it would suck to pull the hub off but oh well....i like it better than the hat design. ALthough i have to use the hat design for the supra rear IRS. Yes they are belltech dropped spindles and i am unsure how a stock spindle would affect anything...unless your reffering to the where the caliper monts to the spindle being different than a stock spindle. I gave him a stock and a dropped to make the design off of. I would think that since the stock brakes go on the drop spindles with no modification there would be no difference using a stock as opposed to a drop on this kit. Before he releases them i will make sure to try them out to make sure they will work

the other thing i was thinking a while back was you should change your hat to the 1.96 offset hat so you could use the wilwood rotors that have the 8x7.0 rotor bolt pattern....they are half as much as the rotors that use the 8x7.62 and the hats cost the same amount. Plus even cheaper is you go with speedway motors rotors instead. Just thinking of a way for guys to save a lil cash

Yes, that may be true, but my original design allowed no offset on the caliper stand. I'll bet that there are lots more ways to accomplish this mod too.:)

Would the clearance on the inside of the smaller hat allow installation over an unmodified wheel hub? I don't remember how much extra room there was...

IF you're like me when I was looking for options to upgrade brakes, and you stumble across this and you don't wanna spend $5,093,470,378,209,873 on (Non DOT legal) 2pc wilwood rotors/hats/bolts/shipping then follow this link. WAY cheaper (And DOT legal) option with parts you can get off the shelf at a local parts store with minor machining for well under $500.. And if you want to step it up a notch, you can reduce unsprung weight of this kit by using cheap 99+ LS camaro calipers or spend a little more money from the money that you saved on rotors on light weight Supra 4 piston calipers. The options when using OEM parts are virtually limitless since there is so much in the performance market just ready to be used.

First off I still have a few adapters left...
    $75 a pair shipped...

As for holding up mine lasted the last 20,000 miles I ran my 93
And I never got any complaints... There is over 25 pairs sold

I was working on an adapter for a 1" thick rotor and a wilwood caliper
But I never tweaked it and made a new order with emachineshop.com

The current mod is a .81" thick rotor and 4wd yota front brakes of course
They do work really well almost too well
If I do LS2 my 93 I'll finish the full wilwood ones

    It's not a Toyota
I read (or thought I read) of someone using LS430 calipers. I'd be interested in that.

I would love to get a pair from you but will this work with a stock Toyota rotor? I thought about doing a conversion with the supra rotors, the '89 model.
