So the other day i was warming up my truck before work it usually idles high because of cold start, but after the idle drops to 1000 RPM after it warms up...but then the other day it didnt drop the idle started to push up higher to about 1500 RPM consistent.First thing i had done was tone down the idle screw, when the idle had dropped back down to 1000 RPM a white cloud of smoke started to come out of the exhaust for about 10 seconds then stopped...so now everytime i drive my truck letting off of first gear a nice cloud of white smoke comes out or if im at a dead stop and rev my truck..other than that the smoke isnt consistently coming out......just did full maintenence today and no change...talked to a few of my friends and said it could be a "blow by",the pistons could be worn out,or the valve seals are no good,i had redone the head about 4000 miles ago,so im not to sure if its the seals....anyone know what it could be?.
I have found that when you redo the top end or the bottom the other will go..... soon after I would say that the ring didnt like all of the new found pressure........
You're burning oil somehow. Pull your plugs and check for oil on them. Do a compression check. Check if you are mixing oil and water it could be your head gasket.
btw i wonder if it's just extra water vapors left in the muffler... OH! and you said the rpm's keep going up... cold start is being delayed... and there's white smoke.. check your coolant. I wonder if the hg really did go. because when the truck warms up, literally, the warm coolant passes through, melts the wax thing, and the air goes through and what not, dropping the idle. My truck did this before, but that was because the coolant was frozen. I had a slushie for coolant and my engine almost overheated because of said situation. top off coolant with red toyota and check the intake pipe. I wonder if timing has to do with anything. What's the mileage on the truck and maintenance?
