22re head gasket crank no start

    So I put back this motor together at TDC and distributor at about 1oclock it cranks but doesn't turn over? Any suggestions

    Do you mean it cranks but doesnt fire?

    check the dizzy for a punch mark that should be #1. Make sure the wires are in the right spot too. And everything is connected

    Yes cranks but doesn't fire what to you mean by dizzy?

    Do I have to get it at Tdc again? When I do that?

    Yea put it at TDC. Then start messing with the distributor. Make sure the rotor is pointed at the #1 plug and that the wire is going to #1

    How do I know it's at tdc without taking the valve cover off

    Timing mark on the crank pulley. And dowel pin on the camshaft should both be up, cam dowel might be off to the passenger side slightly.

    Lol thanks I'll keep all this in mind but for some reason I got coolant in my oil pan, haha looks like I'm gonna have to tear it back down, I don't mind redoing it and actually taking my time damn now I'm thinking where I might have went wrong

    It fired right up When I set it back to the number one plug but unfortunetly I need to find where the bad seal was im thinking I didn't put enough seal on the bottom of timing cover so it leaked right into the oil pan.

    Well hopefully you can get it sorted out. So close to being done and now you gotta start over
