    Would really like to simplify the compartment of the NOLUX. ie. get rid of all this useless emissions crap seeing as i will never SMOG this truck...

    anyone got anything to say regarding this? pros cons? what all would need to be modified? what is necessary for running?

    if there is a thread already about this topic, i couldn't find it. please direct me to anything regarding this.

    moreso... anyone near Sonora Ca. wanna come help me? ill provide beer, whiskey, smoke, bed, live music, good eats, and a project..... make it a vacation.

    ya getting rid of smog equipment has no negative affects, as long as you do it right and seal up vacuum and exhaust leaks you make.

    Ya the little condoms work ok but they tend to rot and fall off. I completely removed that vacuum tree bolt and stuck a plug in the intake manifold. Be carefull, sumo wrestlers in Japan install those, be prepared for a fight.

    CAUTION!!!

    DO NOT REMOVE YOUR EVAP SYSTEM! Or else you WILL smell fuel.

    I found out the hard way- Use the stock Charcoal canister. Use the 'Smog Computer' under the glove box. Leave the solenoid bank alone on the pass side fender. Leave the vac line to the manifold that ties in the EVAP solenoid to purge the canister.

    Also once you are desmogged, get yourself a ***1979**** only dizzy- Corona, truck, Celica 1979 only has one vac diaphragm. and there are points AND electronic versions. $115 from Orielly's GET ONE!

    You will need a 79 specific cap and rotor and a dust seal

    Cap = 19101-38150
    'packing'= 19127-15010

    Have not received a rotor yet- still on order.

    This completes a desmog, increases power and readies you for a Weber!
