I filled mine for the first time last night and I'm ha being overheating issues:/. It doesn't even have to run king to start overheating. I'm thinking I have a bad air pocket somewhere or maybe a bad thermostat. Did you have overheating issues at all?

I used a laser thermometer to check my temps when I put my electric fan on. Something like this:

That way you can check several different areas for temp.

    Ill get one rhis week!

I havent had any overheating issues at all but dont trust the temp gauge on the cluster. Not all Toyota gauges are bad but these trucks do tend to have issues with the gauge reading lower temps then what it is really at.

Did you fill the motor with coolant thru the 17mm bolt in the thermostat housing? It's required to fill it that way to prevent airpockets and overheating. Fill it while running.

No I didn't. I filled it through the radiator and cracked the 17mm port to get out some air:/.

Remove the 17mm bolt. Stick a funnel in the hole and continue to fill with coolant while running. You'll be amazed at how much more air will burp from the system as you fill it.

Truck made the 40 mile trip without a problem. No overheating! The transmission drain plug was loose and leaked a little.
Dropped the truck off for the exhaust.

    Exhaust is on hold
There is no room on passenger side for him to work. Im going to pull the engine to remove the exhaust manifold attach the flange. Drop it in and take it back to have the exhaust done.

This was the first time the truck drove that distance since the 1UZ was swapped. Couple of things need to be done.
Move gas tank about 1/2 inch towards passenger side
Cut rear cross member under cab about 1 more inch on passenger side
An injector on drivers side rail is leaking so I will need to get that sorted out as well

Damn man, I can see how you will have to remove the engine to get the manifold off. That's why I just did mine with the cab off the truck because I didn't want to do it again. But all the extra stuff you just mentioned is not necessary bro. This is mine. You ain't gotta cut anything.

With having to remove the cab or fenders to get to exhaust and whatever else, why not make the fender removable? Cut it out, make a few mounting points for them and reinstall? That way maintenace down the road will be easier, hopefully. Thats if u dnt have things on the fenders that will, prevent them from being removed

My truck is dropped and driveshaft angle is why im having to cut the rear crossmember.
Fenders dont get it the way. The exhaust manifolds are about 1 in from touching the upper control arms. There isnt room to reach a couple of bolts and impossible to slide the manifold out from the studs.

    Can't the studs be removed?

Yea, if you can remove the studs, you should be able to slide it right out.
