can anyone get me a pic of the throttle linkage setup on the 1983 toyota 22r (2wd)? i was installing a weber and thought i needed to ditch everything... now i cant figure out how it all goes back together. thanks. lucky
It should look something like this... This pic is of an 85-89 model, only difference is the rod shaped like an "L" that hooks to the carb is longer on your 83 and the pivot mechanism is bolted to the firewall... Good luck! btw- if your throttle cable is long enough you can eliminate that rod type setup and custom make a few brackets to make it work where the cable hooks up directly to the carb...
mine doesnt look like that. :0( mine mounts to the firewall. that gold colored J-shaped thing comes directly from the firewall...
I think I mentioned that above... You should still be able to piece it together unless you threw some parts away...
yeah, i read your message in my inbox and the rest of your post didnt come through. anyway, i see how most of it goes back but i'm conused at the spring that hooks to the manifold...
sorry it took awhile thats my 83 toyota 22r engine throttle linkage if that is what you are tlaking about
