1983 hilux question - need pics

    how does the sr5 console and volt/battery gauge pod mount into a 79-83 hilux? pics would be awesome. thanks.

    There are brackets, one on the floor and one from the heater / vent outlet.

    make sure you wont hit it with the shifter before you commit to it.


    i put one in my wheeler with a 1in gap from the end of the throw to the gauge cluster while sitting.


    then the first time wheelin with it, something moved a bit while driving and a checked it good, cracked one side enuff that the gauge didnt stay in.


    ended up relocating mine to where the stereo was

    I think they forgot put a gauge in the center of the steering wheel for horn pressure.:lol:

    I run Nitrous-Exhaust Gas Temp, Wide Band Oxygen, 2 Fuel Pressures, etc. I don't like being passed by some types of vehicles lol!

    Sorry to get off topic from the original post, but I,m a aftermarket gauge junkie too, way more than I need but got carried away with that and all the other electronic gizmos in my 75, I knew the gauges kept you better informed but didn't realize they made ya faster too :D just kiddin, very nice setup you got, good job.:waytogo:

    i just got a set of top brackets for my pod but i dont have the bottom... anybody have a pic of the bottom bracket??
