1967 Toyota stout Body Is in great condition. Bought it as a project and have no time. It's reliable for its age and drives fine! Havnt had a problem yet. Looking to sell because I need something more practical for my daily work commute.THIS IS A VERY RARE TRUCK! Only 5,000 were imported in the United Stayes in the 60’s Motor is a ford 2.8 from a 1975 ford mustang 2 with an auto transmission. I have a bunch of maintenance parts that are ready to drop in, I just have had no time. Yota guys don’t roast me lol, I bought it like this and planned to go back to a Toyota heart 4 inch drop blocks in the rear Come check it out. Nice truck. Good luck with sale. A Stout is pretty much the only truck I'd ever consider ditching my Hilux for and yours looks pretty clean - but that drivetrain is a dealbreaker to me
I honestly bought it with the intention of putting a 1jz in it haha. Damn ford motor isnt so bad though lol
That's the route I'd go - more likely something like a 1uz or 2uz for me, because a sweet old truck like that deserves a v8, a Hilux can get the JZ series since it's a smaller truck. From your original post - are you DDing this truck?
I cant DD this haha. My work commute is 30 miles 1 way and the brakes arnt too good for stop and go traffic haha
Haha, would be nice though. I assume it's got 4wheel drums - no bueno for today's driving conditions. My commute is 45 miles 1 way, which is why I'm in a Prius most days, but I still take my 93 4x4 on occasion and I'd love to take my 75 - but I've never driven it that far in one shot at highway speeds yet and to make the ride tolerable I'd have to swap out my loud exhaust and possibly regear it. Maybe this Spring I'll attempt it one day, I've been debating just paying the $150 for a Magnaflow instead of trying to DIY it since I no longer have a garage.
Ohh yea, shes on drums! Stops pretty good actually but its definitely a leg workout due to pressing the life out of the pedal! I know your 75 will make it because I use to daily my 75 all the time. Only thing I had to do was drop in a W58 5 speed behind the lil 20r so she wouldnt be screamin the whole way
Sold! The new owner loves it and promised to pull the ford motor and replace it with a Chevy V8 you will be missed Stout
