not sure have to check some things changed a vacuum line rechecked timing, pulled the valve cover to check cam mark to crank mark, they were on mark, use a speed square to determine 30 deg rotation of vacuum port on dissy fron center line of block #1 7 deg before tdc, them found the choke stuck closed freed up and it took throttel to about 4200 rpm on the right path

Great re-build. I see you have a heat shield below the carb. Was that the original? I'm looking for one.

I would be interested to purchase the spare assuming it is in good condition.
Do you know how to send a PM? Thanks.

I noticed in one of the pictures you uploaded that your vacuum hoses have an alternate routing from stock set up. Is this intentional and for normal use?

My reason for asking is that I have sputtering or hesitation when running. I can't find a vacuum leak and have already replaced plugs, wire, hoses and fuel filter. Next up is to replace fuel pump. I read somewhere a faulty coil could also be affecting ignition.

What a cool and well documented rebuild. How did it turn out? Running well?
