Well I'm effin excited. 6 months after I paid for them from a member on another forum, my tubular control arms are en route to my house. I picked up an advance adapters bellhousing last wednesday, SBC saturday morning, and bought an edelbrock performer dual plane intake. I'm going to run a edelbrock 1406 4 barrel carb with a hilborn scoop. In the mean time I've bagged the rear, installed flush led in gate and painted it. I put 240sx buckets in it sans headrests, shaved handles, 4 runner front end, and a Hurst pistol grip shift knob. Glassed air gauges into dash and painted it, but I'm going to redo that. Pics when I get home! Here's how she looked after I got her lowered and put the rims on.
Pics! Here's some pics of the tail gate. Came out ok for a garage job. I'll be painting the rest at my dad's shop. Working on polishing it while I'm waiting on other parts. and side shot. Sorry the crap pics, I'm getting a new digi this weekend. -Ryan
I agree good stuff there, not bad at all. At least we know your a better fabricator than a photographer . . . great job!
Finished getting the engine degreased and cleaned up monday. Last night I changed the main seals, oil pickup and filter, and put the pan back on. Painted the block/heads and my intake came in. I'm going back n forth about cutting all the brackets off the valve covers smoothing them out and painting them body color or just getting some chrome ones. Need get a carb and clutch/flywheel and start swapping. And for lagniappe here is my 72 Chevy also. Working on the weekends getting it finished. Need to finish the two tone onto the cab and front. -Ryan
Yea, nice Chevy! I've always liked those old C10's. My stepdad is from Morgan City. Its a pain when he comes back from visiting family, its hard to understand him.
WOW that's a nice lookin Bow-tie, can't wait to see what the TOY[ota] truck looks like when your finished,.
sweet chevy! my wifes uncle had a 72. bought it as a prerunner and properly planted it in the dirt & put a 502 in it!
So I went to pick up some parts for my brothers 52 Chevy last night and ended scoring a 600 CFM carb from the guy also. Therapy sent me some pics of his truck, and I'm ready to roll. I want to find a Hilborn style scoop but they are pricey. Thats going to be the most expensive part.
Go the intake put on last night, looks pretty good. Need to get some valve covers and clean up the accesories. I might need to find a short water pump to make it fit better. I'm trying to figure out the mounting of the accesories to keep everything tight and low. Does anyone have a spare/broken A/C compressor laying around? I need one for mock-up.
