How many different bumpers are there for the 89-95 pickups? Front only. I currently run the stock 2wd bumper. Need to get one that fits my 4wd fenders better.
ok there are many! For the 2wd they are all the same style but come in chrome (ext cab), grey (dlx), and black (std). The 4wd also comes in all those colors but two different styles, smooth one peice and 3 piece on which the two corners are bolted on (or they are faux bolts). You can also go for 4 runner front end. Personally I like the looks of the 2wd facia the best so I ordered chrome grill with billet inserts, valance bumper combo with billet inserts, corner lenses (clear), and clear turn signal bulbs. It looks badass!
bumpers for 4wd fenders the 89-91 4wd pickup and 90-91 4runner shared the same bumper. It is a three piece with bolt on corners and is the current bumper I run that I stole of my 91 4x4 and stuck on my 93 2wd. My valance was tweaked so I had picked up an aftermarket chrome one. The OEM only comes in painted. in 92 toyota changed the pickup and the runner to two different styles the truck went to a one piece bumper that has a dip in the middle section to accomidate the different grill that uses the same headlights as the previous years. the valance was also changed but is physically the same and will bolt onto a pre 92 bumper but it has a lower lip that sticks forward, again aftermarket only for chrome... the runner got a whole facelift... the bumper went to a one piece design with a plastic valance that can only be had in black. they also changed the grille and headlights, the headlights are a composite style that is shaped as part of the grille and use a different bulb than the old h4 styles on the other models/years. I have picked up all the parts I need to convert to the 92-95 runner headlight grille combo and have been debating which bumper to use. I like the new runner one but don't like the plastic valance, I like the 92-95 truck one piece bumper but the dip in the middle will leave a gap on anything other than a 92-95 truck grille. The ole 89-91 truck bumper is still my fave and If mine wasn't showing age and rust I wouldn't even consider changing it. My bumper ends are still pretty perfect... the 4runner gille i have on my truck came off this truck! lol it looks like a 2wd bumper with a 3peice 4x4 valance im wanting that valence on my toy too
