71 hilux water on engine oil

    Hi there, I noticed white stuff on the oil of my 18r engine
    Took the heads off but head gasket seems to be fine can anyone gave me an idea what else could be problem
    Engine runs good , no overheating, water from radiator was low, but no water leaks

    I'm no expert on earlier engines, but in 22R/22RE the timing chain guides break and then the timing chain can saw through the water jacket over time. It's super sneaky and has killed a LOT of engines.

    ^ this is a possibility if the 18R is similar to the 20R/22R
