    Hey guys,
I got this car bone stock from my dad who bought it new
This is what I have done so far.
It's got 3 inch blocks and wound down torsions
    15x8 -25 soft 8 rims, 215/65r15
I rolled the front guards with a bat
removed bench and installed 4runner seats
It's hard to come by rear tubs over here so I've just made a stumpy tray until something comes up
other than that its basically still stock with 245,000kms on it.
I've also just ordered a replacement carburetor

That bed actually looks pretty good.

I'm definitely happy with how it turned out. I've left the mudgaurds to get covered in surface rust and the look completely different now. A rear tub just came up locally but they don't come cheap, he's asking $800

This is clean! I can't say I would choose it over the regular bed (and if they don't come up that often, the price is the price so maybe you should scoop it) but keep it up! Great to see a tasteful example.

    I'm digging the "stumpy tray"!

Makes the truck look "tough"... Like, "I'm ready to work, but I can get down and have some fun too!".

    Thanks guys.
Yes the tubs are definitely a big ticket item, I guess that's why the tray back or flat bed is so popular here.
I have a canopy for this set up too, it's currently off for resto work. it fits pretty snug with the roofline

Dig it! always wondered what these trucks would look like dropped with a flatbed.

I put the camper shell back on today, it was taking up yard space, here's a driveway booty pic

Also picked up new tyres, 195/60 & 225/50 15s, little bit smaller than what I have now

Should have them on by next weekend

Here's an idea I'm working on, I basically want to have the timber deck as my daily but make it so I can slide the box & camper on as needed.

So what's the story with the side markers you have? I'd like to get some information on where to get the ones with the bump out or who makes them so I can find more pictures. I haven't been able to find much on my own. What are they referred to as?

The side indicator aka blinker over here, they are stock items on hilux and 4 runners here. I noticed them missing on the US trucks and just assumed shaved. I'm looking to get some clear ones since I did the bumper ones clear also. I'm seeing them on ebay.au not sure if you guys can source them through ebay

So the tyre place wouldn't put a 195 on a 15x8, and because the rears are not load rated for my vehicle, they wouldn't fit them either...

I now own this for $87

It'll come in handy, the young guy here has 3 drift cars in the back yard so we were bound to pick one up eventually

Good work improvising and getting your tires done on your own. Looks good.

I did some searching on ebay.au but they don't seem to have markers that are 2wd, orange reflector and black trim. Weird.

Hey guys, been off for a while. I've managed to find a tub, picking it up today. It's a little beat up, but nothing I can't "eventually" fix. Will post more when I get it on.

The metal fenders/tubs over your back tires...Are they attached to the axle?

    Just curious.
