Hi I just bought a w50 I'm looking to swap it into my 81 truck 2wd
Is it a direct bolt on to the stock 4 speed?
I'm missing the whole shifter and bottom parts to bolt on where do I find one on the cheap I'm on a budget since I'm still in high school
Do I need anything else?

Good luck. The W50 shifters are almost impossible to find.
Hopefully a member here has one laying around.

Yes. It's a direct swap. You may have to elongate the shift hole on the floor.
The L43 4 speed is pretty much bullet proof. Why do you want to change it?

 

Because 5th gear.
