Some more progress over the last couple of days. Sound deader on the floor and carpet roughly laid in. It was probably a little cool today to install the carpet, so I haven't finished trimming it yet. Will let it rest for a bit, hope for some warmer weather, or put a heater in the cab to warm things up. Should help it lay better, then I can cut it to fit. Pretty happy with the overall fit of it. Think I may have to paint my bench seat now. Won't look black enough. Quick google search suggests good reviews for SEM vinyl paint. That and new door cards.

(must be light on the carpet. It is not a stain)

Thanks jetas. Definitely need to paint the bench. [IMG]

Read good things about Meguiars #7 helping with old faded single stage paint. Tried it on the gate. Think I will do the whole truck.

Thanks. Yes, and actually not too much time. Washed it with fine scotch brute pad and CLR. Then hand buffed the Meguiars into it. Let it sit 24 hours wet (the Meguiars is supposed to soak in), then buffed it out. Sort of combined a couple of approaches I was reading about. Worked pretty well I thought.

Nice progress on the interior. What method did you use to remove the factory sound deadener? Also what brand did you go with for the new stuff?

Thanks. I used a hammer and chisel. It was fairly cold, so just hitting it broke it up quite a bit. I have heard of using dry ice, to help with that process. I bought this https://www.b-quiet.com/products/b-quiet-extreme-50sqft Thought of going the real cheap route with the asphalt based stuff from Home Depot or Lowes, but the b-quiet stuff was pretty reasonable price wise (at least compared to Dynamat or Fatmat)

Tried to CLR and Meguiar's the rest of her last night. Left the Meguiar's on to soak in over night, and it rained! (wasn't supposed to). I think most of the Meguiar's washed off, but the paint looks a little deeper. I will do it again, although i don't want it to shiny, the dents and defects will show too much! Should have done half the hood, would be easier to see the difference.

    lol. Ya, amazing stuff, eh?

I am going to get it a safety for it tomorrow and then get it licensed. The tires on the Crown Vic rims are a little iffy, so thought I would swap the other rims back on for now. If all goes well, she will be on the road at some point next week!

No safety. Need some front end parts, but pretty happy with how the SEM painted bench turned out!

Ya, it almost does. I bought the whole system. Soap, pretreatment, paint and topcoat. Worked well.

Apparently looks good in person. Had a buddy today, who saw it before, actually ask me if I had it reupholstered.

Got lower today! 3" inch blocks and torsion adjustement. Didn't re-index them, so they hang a little low. Probably should re-index them at some point.

Even had time today to put a slave cylinder in my Celica and get it cleaned up and on the road for the first time this spring. All set to drive it to my niece's wedding this afternoon!

Thanks Tuhd ... pretty much how I feel. Well, as expected too much rubber in the front, and not quite enough in the back.

Not sure what rubber is going to make this work up front tho. Pretty much sitting right on the tire. Doesn't seem to be a ton of options for tire sizes in 16" that will give me a something similar to what I have at the back. Here is where I'm at now. Maybe a 195/55R16. Maybe I will see if I find a cheap used set, and see if they will work. Or will they look too small with the 216/60's?

Wasn't a fan of the door mirrors. Found a set I had bought for a Celica at some point. Not a fan of two extra holes in my door, either. Not sure if I will leave them.
