Idle surging when braking ?

    Anyone got any ideas as to why my idle rpms drop when I apply the brakes is it my iacv or throttle body or low coolant a vacuum leak or just a combination of things I need some help any info would be great

    The engine has cut off before from applying the brakes too hard

    I'm not sure, but just a guess might be the vacuum line from the brake booster to the intake manifold?

    Isn't there supposed to be a check valve on that line?

    I messed with the idle bolt a little and raised the idle slightly.. It seems to be working ok for now but my idle screw bolt attached to the throttle body seems very loose is everyone's like that.. Cause I feel like with the engine vibration it could move on its own

    how can you tell wether your truck is at the right idle rpms when my trucks doesn't have an rpm gage tachometer

    Isn't a 22re suppose to be at idle at around 750 rpms for normal running conditions/warmed up
