I'm lowering my 75 with OEM Mightymax springs (not the Mightymax lowering srpings). Should I get rid of all the bump stops?

@Sang park they make "low profile" bump stops but it the same things as you shaving yours... or to gain an extra .5" you can remove them completely.

What I did saw simply take an air body saw and cut them down. I did the same thing in the rear.... you could even use a hack saw.

Ah, thanks Lowtide671. I removed all the bump stops already. Now, I'm debating whether I should shave it down. Would anything catastrophic happen if I leave it off?

Nope. It will just make a lot of noise if you bottom out.
The reason I shaved mine it so that when I do actually load down my bed it's not riding metal to metal. I run a 4.5 drop so my wheels sit tucked in the wheel wells of my bed. It dosnt take much weight to bottom me on the stops

If anything leave the rubber bump stop in and remove the metal bracket on the LCA. Should give you enough space

I know this is old, but where can I buy bump stops low profile or not. I have a 79’ and need front bump stops.
