I tried one of those universal ones and it was too damn small and id have to mount it in a wierd way to where it wouldnt look goofy in the truck. So i went out and bought some metal and made one. Had a friend help me with some welding on it too

Not much to add here. Been super lazy and funds hadnt allowed much progress til now. So after a while i did get the calipers done. Rebuilt and painted. Got new pads in and air shocks which i need to install. I also got some new brake line from Amazon, just waiting on a coworker to come over and bend em up for me.

I know we all like pics so heres one

again nothing worth mentioning as far as progress goes. About a 1 1/2 to 2 months ago i lost motivation. Id go into the garage look at the truck sitting on jackstands and go back in the house. Well saturday me, my gf and some friends went to JCCS and it kind of triggered something in me.

So when we got back from long beach i had some time to myself so i went out to the garage and got the air shocks installed and put her back on the ground.

Yesterday i went back in the garage and swapped out the brake booster and MC for the disc brakes.

I guess seeing some trucks at the show got me going again. Hopefully il be spending more time in the garage getting this bish ready to drive

Happens to the best of us man. My truck has stagnated pretty badly. Life gets in the way. Glad to hear things are moving again though

Not sure what the 20R came out of but those were the mounts i used. I wasnt able to use the manifold from the 83 22R, the way the the tubing is on the 4-2-1 header wouldnt fit between the transmission bellhousing and frame (il find a way to get it on there) for now the 4-1 20R header is on there

I used the 20R mid sump oil pan. A universal Lokar throttle cable, i made a custom gas pedal work with the cable. Im going to have to move the e-brake over a couple of inches because the throttle cable ended up where the ebrake cable cane thru the firewall(i didnt measure and just put shit together)

Honestly ive done so much that i cant remember off the top of my head

I have a W58 pulled from a celica. I had to modify the crossmember where the rear of the trans bolts on, i dont have any pictures but it basically looks like a C notch. The mount needed to be moved back about 5 inches.

Very minor update here, i was able to get a used battery. Charged it for a few hours and put it in the truck and ran it for a while. Im hoping the battery holds the charge.

Anyway heres a little video, photobucket was being wierd so its on youtube.

Theres a bit of a sputter and hesitation when i hit the gas, anyone have any tips on what to look for?

The sputter sounds like a secondary pulse sputtering. Mine had it too, but I know with the secondaies opening on carbs they send in a sort of pilot spurt of fuel to help not bog when the secondaires open and there is a sudden influx of air. Effectively they prime everything for the air so that the transition to full power is smooth. Sometimes though that pulse can get clogged and weak, or some people tune them to be too strong and so you run too rich for a second until it equalizes. You should be able to tune that injection for when the secondaries open I believe, but I'm not entirely sure how.

Il look into that. I had a feeling it was a fuel issue.

I did manage to score a set of old centerline style Enkei wheels for $50. Theyre 14x7 -5 nothing crazy. Heres a few pics

The other wheels are Shelby Cal 500's 14x7 as well. I might keep em not sure. For the right $ they can go to a new home
