I have a 95 pickup with a stock 22RE. I was wondering what would be the best options and paths to go through to get more power out of the engine safely. New head, cam etc. Ive heard to get a head and cam and that should get me more but do i need better injectors and fuel components? Also where is a good place / website to buy them. THANKS AGAIN!

LCE is going to be the place to go.

Dont expect huge power gains. HP aint cheap with these and itl still leave you expecting more for what you put into it

I have LC's 22RE EFI Pro Street Stage 1 engine with all that they recommend, more than happy with it & very reliable, drive it to shows all over. Around 35,000miles on her now & 3,833.4 show miles this year!

LCE is awesome but definitely spendy. Also check out engnbldr, he's very knowledgable and very reasonably priced.

LCE is probobly the best place to start and if you go their web site there's a chat box to talk to the LCE techs, they have been really helpful everytime Ive talked to them. Engnblder are great also, cams are good and cheaper then LCE also if your local they are great to talk to about what you want to get out of your motor weather you want to drag, daily, or crawl. I say if your local because the old man who owns it is kinda hard of hearing! As far as a good starting point, the RE's are very choked up! the biggest improvment from a single part by far has been a set of headers and some decent piping, just my opinion for a starting point.

yup, LCE def has the 22r game down. with the years and rep to back it up.
if u want good quality proven products, LCE is the way to go. remember, u get what u pay for. dont be afraid to spend the money where it counts.
but there are alot of other "options" out there.

Second LCE, but again they are expensive. Engnblder is alot cheaper and he is very very knowledgeable, not to say LCE tech arent.

Jetas is correct. 22RE is a great engine, but a platform for big power it is not. If you aren't expecting big power, then it's a fun engine to build. I'm happy with the 22RE I built for my 4Runner. If I dropped it in a 2WD, it would probably scoot.
