I grabbed two fan controllers from mishimoto and combined them to work off of the same temp gauge. One will turn on at 170 and the other at 200 degrees. I can change the range with the turn of a knob. I took @Mikerocosms idea and stuffed this box pretty tight.

This is the finished product of the fans. Had to cut a couple of tabs off the front grille in order for it to fit.

Idler pulley delete. I will also remove the fan bracket later. It will clean up the timing cover a little bit.

I thought the rear main was leaking due to the whole underside being covered with oil or grease. Truck has been sitting for a while now and the leak is easy to spot. Now its only being covered by spider webs.

    Thanks for the idea .
First fan turns on right at 180 and the temps don't get high enough for the second fan to turn on. I'm sure it will work fine in the summer.

Finally put this together. The mount for the remote oil filter is already welded to the frame. Now to find some time to install them. This will make oil changes a breeze in the future.

Hmm, I wonder if that's something I can do to my Tacoma. I hate where mine is located. It's the only Toyota I own that has an oil filter that is difficult to get to.

Its possible. The adapters are a plate that spins on to the original filter location and then use the remote filter bracket.
I bought the filter bracket and fittings locally from ricks performance.

What the hell, do you live in a desert? I never get that dirty when I drive a hundred straight miles of dirt road.

I noticed oil on the floor over the weekend and that the oil pan is leaking again. I beleive its from the oil pan being really close to the front crossmember and rubbing on engine movement.
In order the reseal it I have the lift the engine maybe 6 inches to clear the oil pick up tube. So to avoid this in the future I am modifying the front crossmember cutting and reinforcing the torsion bar supports.
    Progress.

Engine won't come out untill I have some time off from work. So maybe a couple of weeks...

When I get time to work on the truck I turn pandora on and get into work mode and never think to take pictures for you guys. The engine was pulled to reseal the oil pan and new front crossmember installed. Next time the oil pan needs to be resealed i wont have to pull the engine.

    Drop springs in

Welding a couple of 1" flat stock behind the steering wheel to mount this cheap rpm gauge from amazon. Its in front of the speedometer and the MPHs are just visible.

And then some progress on the trans tunnel. I have already covered the top and back half is done.

Havent touched the truck but I did pick this up for $600. Guy said it cranked but did not run. I showed it gave the guy the money, he signed the title and 30 minutes later i drove it home. Turned out to be the fuel pump hose that bursted.

Nice. I was gonna buy a 92 SC400 for whatever I could talk the guy down from $900 for, but the interior was absolutely ravaged. If he still has it when I'm ready I'll just buy it as a parts car.
