Hi everyone, I recently acquired a w50 transmission but no shifter assembly. Will the 4 speed shifter from my 75 fit the w50?

Is the 4-speed a W40? Odds are it will work. Honestly you'll (probably) know faster by just bolting it on and trying it vs waiting for someone to respond with a definite yes or know.

But, I have to say that I'm no mechanic, and I only have a w50 and a w58, no 4 speeds.

The W50 will only work with the W50 shift er and linkage.
Most salvage yards pull the trannys but not the shifter.
Good luck finding one. They're pretty scarce.

This is taken from a March 7 post on this site by me. It might help with your shifter search.

It is important that you get the shifter handle that came with the W50. No other handle's will work.
    The W50 came OEM in 73-81 Celica's with the 20R. 73-81 corona's w/20R and 76-82 pickup w/20R.
