Te door window on the driver's side of the SR5 has come out of the retractor rail.

So the rail is still on he retractor, but the pane of glass is out.

What is the correct method to get the pane of glass back into the rail?

Years ago, I tried to get a glass pane back on the rail just like this situation. I flipped the glass pane upside down, placed the rail into position, and tapped the rail onto the pane with a rubber mallet.

It worked for a bit, and then the glass shattered.

    So what's the proper method?

A glass guy sad he'll charge me $75 to put it back on the rail.....:runaway:

Here are some pics of the window situation.

The first is with the gaping hole. Someone cut onto the panel and then probably fitted a speaker in there. And then yanked it out, leaving a hole. See the second picture of thepassenger door. That's probably what it looked like, impairing the window handle.

The last picture is after I removed the panel, handles, etc. The glass is off the rail.

I've had to deal with this. Roll the regulator all the way down. Get the window back in the track. You'll need to get something like 3M Windoweld or similar. Lay a bead of windoweld on the rail and roll the regulator all the way up, making sure that the window fits in the rail. Let it be for 24 hours.
