thinking about finally finishing up and painting my starion's but not sure in what manner.

been debating redoing them as they came from the factory, or painting the entire center and polishing the lips of the wheels. what have you guys done? anyone with pictures of your starion setup?

    heres what i had...

    and after stripping wheels down...

thinking about doing a gunmetal finish either way weather i decide to do the entire center portion or just the inner spokes.

They look good as is mang - what did you use to shine them up like that? It really worked well, took all the dullness off.

they were actually painted a dull silver or some sort of grey...... i cant tell.... but thats right after i used some Kleen Strip from home depot :waytogo:

strips all the paint and primer off fairly well and leaves the aluminum alone and comes out looking like that after i pressure wash it and scrub it down with some simple green and a bristled brush :headbang:

Sometimes I paint the wheel face. Then I get tired of the look and remove the paint. Here's my wagon.

Here's another guy's wagon with starion wheels.

This is how the previous owner of my truck painted the wheels.

Here she is as of now.

I'm thinking of painting the entire wheel high gloss graphite to match the grill. I think the red and graphite color scheme will look cool on the truck.

Hey not to thread jack or anything but I just dropped the truck today and put on blazinrola's Starions on, 16 x 7 in front and 16 x 9 in rear, man on his truck (like in the white corolla wagon pic) the wheels look nice and tucked in under the fender - just barely but still tucked. When I lowered my truck today the rear were sticking out, and that's not the look I was after.

Now I know to let it settle, I'm getting the alignment now so maybe tomorrow she will sit differently, we'll see. Hey, I wonder if he 'massaged' the fenders to allow for the 16 x 9's? Anyone else have this esperience with the larger starions?

    Thanks - OJ

Blazinrola's truck - notice wheels in back just sneak inside the fender

OJ....... you sure you have 16x9 rears??? i thought he sold a set of 16x7F and 16x8R??

i had the 16x8F and 16x9R and they would NOT TUCK. thats why i traded them for the skinnier sets... hell, as it is, i had to not really massage but more like full out assault the rear 4x4 bed fenders to tuck the 16x8's.

get some pictures up of your trucks new setup and get some close ups of the wheels and fenders.
