20R rebuild kit 350-600.00 or get a used 20R with 73,000 miles on it for 300 with the old engine exchanged?

    Thanks.

depends on what your wanting, if its just a driver and the 300 dollar used engine is known to be good, then thats not a bad deal considering the kit you mentioned runs 350 and up, add your time and labor, plus most likely the head will need done once apart, another couple hundred bucks easily, then if your cylinders are worn, add for boring, cleaning, and decking is always a good idea when rebuilding, so add a couple hundred more give or take if it needs bored, it adds up quickly. then if you want to add a performance cam or other goodies, keep the wallet open :D

Thanks Nook. Yeah, I thought about the money will all add up quickly to rebuild the motor the right way, so a used motor will same time and get my truck back on the road. Thanks.
